Piano Collection: 2025

A.Scarlatti, D. Scarlatti, J.Roman,
Chopin, Greene, William Hine

Numbers in brackets denote track numbers; running time about 61 minutes.

Alessandro Scarlatti (1): Toccata (posth) in Dm
J.H.Roman (2-6): Suite no. 3
F.Chopin (7) Waltz in E major
J.H.Roman (8-14)) Suite no. 4
Maurice Greene (15-19): Five pieces for organ / harpsichord
William Hine (20-23) Piece for Organ
Domenico Scarlatti (24-29) Sonatas: L464, 465, 469, 471, 473, 474

The Alessandro Scarlatti piece is fluent and
well-suited to the piano. Maurice Greene's
pieces are attractive and well worth hearing.
The Domenico Scarlatti pieces show great
originality. J.H.Roman is a little-known
composer from Denmark. The Chopin waltz
has only recently become available, through
IMSLP; it's probably an early work. The William
Hine piece is his only surviving published work.
