Potatoes - Arran Victory

Released after WW1 (hence the name). No details yet on taste / cooking. Yield in 3-gal pot: 2lbs; tubers were clean and of a good size. Didn't see any flowers. Donald McKelvie variety, from the Isle of Arran.

Thanks to Alex (don't know your surname) for the seed.

Note added later .... good flavoured floury variety; better steamed than boiled, skin colour fades, as with most blue potatoes, on cooking. Flesh white; mashes very well though if grown in containers the tubers are a bit too small for mashing.
