SANDI JOHNSON: SHORT STORIES

My friend Sandi, who has written BBC radio drama in the past, now has eleven of her books online, as Kindle editions. There's something for everyone - but the recent addition which has caught my eye is a collection of waspish short stories called 'Bad Apples'. They remind me very much of Ray Bradbury. There's a lovely tale called 'Holes' which most men over the age of fifty will recognise ... and other surprising tales..... Take a look... . UPDATE..... new book of short stories: SHADOW DANCING...... and I'm presently reading her novel "The Far Side Of The Moon" - an exciting tale in the same genre as "A Fall Of Moondust" by Arthur C. Clarke.

GREYFRIARS SUITE & CHOPINATA
I have just recorded the 'Greyfriars' Suite and the unpublished Concert Waltz by my late friend Thomas Arnold Johnson. I am grateful to Naveed Haque in Toronto and Stewart Clarke of 'Friardale' for making the manuscript of The Greyfriars Suite available. My own arrangement of 'Chopinata' by Clement Doucet, which is based loosely on Chopin's waltz op 64 no. 2 is now recorded and is here . For a paper copy of the Chopinata arrangement, please email.

YOUTUBE
Over the last year or so I have delved a little into 'Youtube', which is fast turning into an amazing resource. I am listing some of my favourite Youtube clips; click on the logo to see them:

I am also putting online some of my own piano recordings, mainly early music, recorded over a 20 year period. See piano collections .

DIGITAL SOUND RECOVERY
Nigel does a small amount of digital audio cleanup; click on the heading for details. If you're interested in what can be done, try these 'before' and 'after' recordings from an unidentified radio play.

Habitat21 Website

I have constructed a website on ENERGY, which is concerned with our energy needs and resources.

If you are concerned that the public (and our children) are being misled by bad science ("man-made carbon dioxide causes dangerous global warming" and similar untruths) please click the link above.

Those who know me will be aware that I've done work on energy and renewables since the mid-seventies.
