Potatoes - Kepplestone Kidney

Probably of Scottish origin. Known during WW1. Purple-blue skins, yellow flesh, attractive shape. Reputedly good flavour, but so far I have not been able to obtain seed.

I am grateful to Chris Hitchcock and William Whitehead for permission to photograph this sample, which was on display at Painswick Rococo Gardens during October 2008.
