Potatoes - Maris-Peer

Maris Peer is from the Cambridge Research Station, released 1962. The flowers are bright purple and prolific. The tubers are waxy, uniform-shaped and of good eating quality; an attractive salad potato.

I am grateful to Chris Hitchcock and William Whitehead for permission to photograph this sample, which was on display at Painswick Rococo Gardens during October 2008.
