English Apples - Winston

A late dessert apple; similar to Laxton's Superb. The flavour and colour are usually better, the fruit smaller, and the tree is more resistant to disease.It is self-fertile; fruit often needs thinning. Tip bearer, upright tree; can sometimes be picked in December. Cox x Worcester; origin Berkshire, 1920.
