Below I've listed the workshops carried out so far.

18 Dec 2006 Community members, Language experts and activists, businessmen, professionals, government agents, general public Making participants aware of the present status of the Ekegusii language and the dangers of its falling into disuse: presentation, handouts (see below for summary). We managed to secure the services of some language experts and consultants who will be of great benefit to the project.

3 Ikonge Secondary School (North Mugirango)
19 May 2007 students and staff Briefly introduced project's objectives and emphasized the need to be active in using, promoting and preserving our endangered mother tongue. Pointed to the consequences of language loss. Encouraged them to pursue language-related studies. Presentation and discussion

4 Nyabiore Mixed Secondary School (Bomachoge)
24 May 2007 students and staff Introduced project's objectives and emphasized the need to be active in using, promoting and preserving Ekegusii; pointed to the consequences of language loss. Encouraged them to pursue language-related studies; presentation and discussion, as above.

More workshops are planned in the larger Gusii in the months ahead; an activity which has been hindered (mainly) by lack of funds.
